Types of churches in Lebanon

Non-denominational

Modern music, practical teaching, and a relaxed, come-as-you-are atmosphere — popular with young adults and families who want a welcoming community without strong denominational ties.

Mainline & historic

Traditional worship with beautiful sanctuaries, choral music, and liturgical services — congregations that connect faith with history and a long-standing community presence.

Students & young adults

With the University of Colorado nearby, many churches emphasize student ministry — Bible studies, worship nights, and service opportunities built for people in their college and early-career years.

Family-friendly

Strong kids’ programs, youth groups, and safe, supportive environments — with Sunday school, childcare, and age-specific ministries throughout the city.

Sermon clips from Lebanon churches

33s
“I've shared with you two stories today, but here's what I pray you see. And that is for every story there are hundreds, if not thousands more waiting to be told, but we have yet to reach out to them. They're just waiting to be told. Every story that is out there has a name, and every name matters to God. Amen? And it should matter to us, And because of you, God is changing lives right here in Lebanon and all around the world.”

“So many times a lot of our lives, we believe that we don't really matter. We think, you know, I'm just too quiet or I'm too old or I'm too shy. We give all the reasons why we don't matter or I'm too new in the Lord. I'm a brand new Christian. I don't matter in what God is doing. I want you to realize that each and every one of us do matter. You matter to the church. You matter to the people in the church. But let me tell you today, you matter to God, And who you are is important, and what you what you are and who you are and what you do matters.”

“The discipleship process doesn't end, does it? We continue to walk out our faith. We continue to learn from what God has for us. Right? Church? Don't get quiet on me today. Okay? In fact, John eight verses thirty one and thirty two says, if you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free. Learning what Christ says to us takes us to that place. Right? And and when we get to that point, it changes And that's a good thing. Right? Yeah. That's a good thing.”
31s
“John fourteen six actually says, Jesus said to him, I am the way, I am the truth, and I am the life. No one comes to the father except through me. Right? Yep. And we have to understand that just going to church, and I've been saying this lately because we talked about kinda Christians. Right? Remember that? People who say that they go to church or say that they are a part of this, but they really don't live it in their lives every day. If you look at them on Monday through Saturday, you realize that is so not who they are because it's shown through their fruit. Remember last Sunday, we talked about the fruit?”
22s
“"Success is not about a perfectly crafted plan. I just got to tell you that. It's just do the right thing today. How do I make a difference? Number one, you seek God faithfully. Number two, you divine the vision. Number three, you make plans carefully. And then number four, you inspire people passionately. You've got to inspire people passionately."”
29s
“"If you can't define it, you can't do it. You know that, right? It's impossible. Define it. What is God's calling for you to do? And Nehemiah's response, I love it. It was so clear. It was so concise. Did he have the plan laid out? Probably not. But here is his plan. Send me to Judah so I can rebuild the city. That's it. My heart, my burden is to rebuild the city."”
25s
“"How many of you, like me, have ran off into a situation before you really sought God in it? Anybody else good at kicking in doors? I'm a door pusher. And God is... I'm a slow learning door pusher. Let me put it that way. And over and over, God is like, yeah, I told you not to do that one. I'm like, yeah, but it looked like it was going to be, oh, no, it's not good. Right? We're all kind of got a little bit of that in us, don't we?"”
16s
“"What qualifies you to make a difference in this situation is that it is a God breathed situation. It is from God. It is not because of anything you've been equipped to do. And those are the best kind, because when you're relying on God, how many of you know it's going to go a lot better?"”
31s
“"A lot of times when God reveals to us things, the end, the end is too much for us to handle. And he reveals to us just enough along the way to keep us moving in the right direction, doesn't he? We never dreamed that some of this and all of this would come to pass. We just saw a need. We saw opportunities to help out, to make a difference. And we thought, yeah, let's give it a shot. I think God's in this. And I believe he has been, don't you?"”
25s
“"You may be thinking to yourself. I'm just an ordinary person. I don't feel prepared for this. Congrats. You're the perfect person. Because if you're unprepared. Then you got to trust God even all the more. Right. When you can do it in your own strength. You don't need God. But when it's beyond your abilities. You got to trust God."”

Why Lebanon churches are unique

Tradition meets innovation: The spiritual landscape in Lebanon reflects both heritage and progress, with long-established mainline churches standing alongside newer congregations that emphasize casual gatherings and contemporary worship.
A culture all its own: Many churches mirror the city’s culture of inclusivity and connection to the outdoors, offering spaces where people of all backgrounds can experience faith and community in an authentic, welcoming environment.
