But then it took five months before the boat ever rested on the Mountains Of Araret, then two and a half more months before any other mountain peaks started showing up, and then ten and a half months from the time that the rain started, right, until Noah actually opened the boat door and looked at the ground and stepped out onto the muddy surface and realized, okay. It's almost dry, but it's not ready yet. Then two more months, and it was ready, and they started repopulating the earth. That storm lasted for over a year, my friends, and at the end of it, there still was a promise.”
