And if we're not careful when we look in the scripture and we see that God refers to himself as our father, we will take our bad experience and we will project that back onto the text and we'll look at God in the wrong way. Instead of realizing that God is the perfect father, that he is the perfect provider, that he is the perfect master, that he is the perfect king. And although human beings fail, and although human beings often complete abusive things with authority, God demonstrates to us throughout his word how perfect he is and and how righteous he is and how good he is and and he demonstrates how he is the good king. He represents how that he is the faithful king. He represents what a good father is, what a good ruler is, what a good master is.”

That is be attacking the gates of hell, but through the boundaries and lanes that are divine and powerful and anointed, those things that God has given you.”

“See, understand this. God confirms who he calls. Now here's where this gets a little bit sharp. One of the most dangerous mistakes you can make in ministry is to confuse your gifting with your calling. See, your gifting can fill a room. Your gifting can hold a microphone. Your gifting can can get people to stand. Your gifting can get applause. Your gifting can change the atmosphere of the room that you walk into, but don't miss this. Your gifting cannot sustain your calling. Hear this. Watch. Gifting will get you into the room, but it's your character that will keep you there. It's your character. It's are you reflecting Jesus every day of your life in the way that God confirms the calling on your life? It is not on the outward. It is not on the external. It's not on what you can do. He confirms it with the part of your life that no one will ever see, that no one will ever witness. Man, hear this. The success of your calling will overflow from the intimacy you have with God.”

“Knowing the greatest threat to the church is not a lack of gifted leaders, but it's a lack of godly leaders. So throughout this text, Paul's gonna give him Timothy some instructions. He's gonna say, hey, what? You need to honor those who lead well. Honor those who lead well. Then he's gonna say, hey, do not entertain reckless accusations. Hold leaders accountable when they sin. Novelty. Be careful in whom you place leadership in. And lastly, remember that character is going to eventually be revealed, the foundation. Paul's concern is not merely what leaders do, but he's concerned who leaders are. And he starts right off there in verses seventeen and eighteen saying, hey, this is how we need to honor elders who are serving well.”

When you come under the lordship of God and the lordship of Jesus Christ and you're not saying just be my savior but be the king, dictate my life, rule my life, you'll discover, yes, he is the king of the universe. But something else I've discovered, I discover a king who cares so much for me. You'll discover a sovereign who faithfully will care for you as well.”

Now I encourage you not to become disrespectful. I encourage you not to become arrogant, but I also encourage you to appeal to the ruler of the universe and say, Adonai, Lord of all, Lord of lords. I'm obeying you. Take care of it. See to it. Faith is bringing your questions to your master and faith trusts the master when circumstances make no sense.”

He he he doesn't want you to be submissive to your husbands. He wants you to rebel against his authority, and that feels powerful, but there's no anointing in disobedience. I said there's no anointing in disobedience. I said there's no power in disobedience. a preach anyhow on a Father's Day. The men don't know what to do right now. If we say amen too loud, bishop, you say amen because it's right. Amen. That's right. And if it's wrong, somebody come get me. But if it's right, I'm saying there's no there's no divine authority and power when we're disobedient to God. And that's true for whatever situation is, parents or children or women or men or church or or whatever.”

Because hear this, calling is never based on your accomplishments. Your calling will always be based your willingness to align your life with the will of God for your life. and this will apply to the whole room, but hear this. God doesn't call you based on who you are today. He calls you based on who you're still becoming. He calls you based on on who he sees exist within you that you don't even know what's in there yet. He's not calling you based on your accomplishments, on your gifting, on the things that you've done already. He's calling you based on what he still knows you're going to do.”
