“Friend, you can. If you haven't trusted in him, come as you are. You can't get things right, but he can for you. And secondly, the question would be this. For all of us as believers in Christ, what are we hanging on to? What's weighing us down? Is there anything that's causing anxiety and fear in our hearts today? Give it to Jesus. He's already taken care of it all. Trust that he's got you. He'll carry you through whatever storm you're going through today. But heads bowed and eyes closed all over the room here today. So today these altars are open.”

“Moses was a man who witnessed every miracle in the book. In fact, he wrote the book on miracle. Be like like, this is the guy who wrote the book. And Moses said, I still want more of God. Not more from God, more of God. And that's the question I want us to ponder as we close. Look at me. Are you following g this is an honest answer to the God you serve. Are you following God for what God can give to you or what you can get from God? Or are you following God because he is the destination?”

“``There's no bigger question, friend, that you'll ever need to answer in your life and nobody else can answer it for you other than do I know Jesus personally as Lord and savior? Is he my Lord? Is he my king? Have I asked him to forgive me of my sins and to come in and to be Lord of all? And as the old saying goes that I used to hear in seminary, he's either Lord of all or he's not Lord at all. We don't hide back parts of our lives and say, Lord, I'll get to you eventually on this in this area, but it's all of us because he gave all for us that we may be forgiven of our sins. So do you know him as Lord and savior?”

“We need not fear circumstances. We need not fear demonic forces, the devil himself. We need not fear anyone that may try to come against us for Jesus has already gone before us. Right? So there's the big idea. Now let's begin to unpack what we find here in these verses. So here's the first practical action step I want us to see. And I'm gonna go back to brother Devin, thank you for leading out in that last song and talking about the blood of Jesus because we're gonna look specifically here in verse 18 to what Jesus has already done on our behalf. And so here's the practical action step this morning. If we haven't done this yet in our lives, then the calling from scripture and from the Lord is to look to Jesus.”

“I don't want you to get lost in the weeds. I think some of the 08:30 service are still out there and I'm gonna have to go find them in the weeds and, but here today, don't get lost in the weeds as we look at these verses together. But here's the big idea I want us to see, Lord willing, and it's this, Jesus suffering made possible what? Our salvation and we need not fear anything or anyone. Simply put, big idea of the passage today. Jesus suffering, what he went through is we'll see in verse 18 in a moment, made possible your salvation, my salvation, and we need not fear anything.”

“What does that even mean? Here's what God's saying. When God decides to reveal his identity to Moses in the world, he chooses of all things the verb to be. What does that mean? That means wherever you are in life, God is there with you. In your past struggles, brother, listen, God was there with you. In your future challenges, sister, God will be there with you. In your present situation today, God is what there with you. Why? Because when the great I am is first in your life, you have no fear because it fades away.”

“``Now you have to understand, most leaders, if we're honest, may have taken that deal. I mean, think about it. God's saying, okay. You give me the land, but you're not gonna be there. That's a good deal. You you'll give me the promise of the land without your presence seems like a good deal. But what Moses is going to say in the text causes all of us today to pause. Why? Because Moses says, no. Actually, if you don't go, I'm not gonna go. In fact, I won't go another step. I won't go another inch. If you're not with me, I'm out.”

“Now why does that cause us to pause? Because you and I live in a world in Western culture today where we are always tempted to chase the next big thing. The bigger platform, the the better opportunity, the next open door, more clicks, more likes. And Moses is gonna teach us a principle I think many of us have forgotten, and that is the destination means nothing if God isn't there with us.”

#thinklessservemore
“If we ever get to a point where we think that we somehow can pull rank on somebody and we elevate ourselves above others and we think somehow we're a better Christian and so -and -so because so -and -so is dealing with this an open sin and and so -and -so needs to repent of that and we think to ourselves hey I'm a I'm a better Christian I'm I'm more spiritually mature then we need to go back to these verses I need to go back to these verses and read again Philippians 2 verses 1 to 4 specifically verse 3 but in humility consider others as more important than yourselves.”

#glorifythroughunity
“It is to as the church it is to glorify god in the lives we live and i would say through also obeying the great commission by making christ known by sharing the gospel with others and our one purpose that we are to unite around as a church here at first baptist church gallatin is to connect others to christ to connect them to the gospel of our lord and savior jesus christ.”
