I believe mostly to ourselves that we're worthy. And Jesus, by dying on the cross for us and raising from the dead, already proved that he thinks we're worth it.”

I want you to sing the words, maybe make it a prayer in your heart, but think about what God could do in your life if you just slowed down enough to not be busy and so hurried that you miss him or miss the people around you that he's put in your life.”

He couldn't live the same because his life was different. He had met Jesus.”

But especially for us in American culture is I think we tend to tolerate Jesus as inspirational but not as an authority. Tolerate that. Sounds terrible to even say it that way, right? But we're okay with Jesus being this kind and and inspiring figure who sometimes has some nice or occasionally, you know, helpful things to say. But when it comes to making him an authority on our lives, we tend to draw a line. We tend to see the threshold to that doorway and not be willing to cross it because there's going to be a cost involved. And being curious about what that cost is is great, but curiosity alone isn't enough.”
