“He took our sin, he took our pride, he took our foolishness, he took our rebellion, he took all the times where he messed up, all the times that we posted things we shouldn't have posted or responded to somebody that we shouldn't have responded to, or the times when we, you know, didn't say something and we should have said something, and he took all that to the cross, and he said, I love you. How much? I love you this much. And he takes it to the cross, and he dies. And then, even better, you know, the story gets better. Three days later, he raises from the dead. He's alive so that we can have hope that we don't have to live in foolishness anymore.”

You know, Jesus, he was never controlled by the environment, the the emotional temperature of the room or in the response of this. He never let his behavior, be determined by other people's behaviors. He never did. There were times when somebody needed to be confronted, he confronted him. Right? Yes? Jesus confronted him. There were times when he needed to speak the truth, and he spoke the truth. Right?”
