“Obey completely. Don't just obey. Don't be a half obedient Christian. Be a hundred percent obedient. If God tells you to go to Walmart and you go to Walmart and you're like, I obeyed God, he may tell you, you need to talk, you need to ask that person if they need prayer. And that's where we get weird. We're like, well, I came to Walmart. God, if you want something to happen, make it happen. But we don't fully obey. What would happen if every time God told us to do something, we just did it. We didn't care how crazy we looked.”

He's saying that because of everything that God has already done, because of God's mercy and grace and forgiveness and faithfulness, are invited to respond. The Christian life does not begin with what we do for God. It begins with what God has already done for us. God loved us before we knew how to love God. God reached for us before we thought to reach for God. God offered grace before we understood just how much or that we needed it. Therefore, Paul says, let your life become a response to that mercy.”
