“The Pharisees trap try to trap him and but Jesus removes her guilt and shame before addressing them. Here's your fill in the blank. Jesus gives her grace before giving her direction. A lot of us think, well, I'm not ever gonna be good enough for Jesus, and so I'm just gonna stay away from him. Bible says come just as you are. Maybe there have been unfaithfulness in your marriage or digital sin that has crept into your home, and so how do I restore it? How do I change this? It's a couple of things. Total transparency to build trust. There's been sin in your life that has affected your marriage. Come out clean. Number two, intensive counseling with both parties involved. Don't feel like, well, it's just one. No. You're both affected. Number three, pray together daily.”

“It looks good, but it's a trap. Personal sin is a trap that affects people you never intended to hurt. The devil will distract you with one piece of fruit when you have the entire Garden of Eden. Don't manage it. Kill it. There's your next fill in the blank. This is what we tend to do. Like, I'm just not gonna do it for I'm a setting a goal. Just not gonna do this again. Whatever it is, sin. Period. Just I'm not gonna do it again. Month goes by. You're like, yes. Made it. You try really hard and a month another month goes by. You say, I think I've conquered it. I'm good to go. Like, no. You cannot conquer sin on your own. You will not be able to. That's why Jesus came.”

“Maintenance teams spend months mopping up the water and bringing an industrial fan in and and placing buckets everywhere to catch all this. And despite their exhaustive efforts, the floor always remained wet. And finally, a structural engineer was called in, and she walks in. And she walks past the mopping crews and goes to the roof and found a crack in a drainpipe that was funneling water straight through the building. And she fixed the pipe, and the basement dried up on its own. How often do we spend our spiritual energy mopping up the mess while leaving the source of leak wide open? If you wanna stop the overflow, you have to starve the source.”

“Sex inside of marriage is an act of love, and sexual desire outside of marriage is an act of lust. Let me just repeat that. Inside of marriage is an act of love. Outside or desires outside of marriage is lust. Whether it's on a digital device or it's people watching as we talked about last week. Here's a note to the unmarried. There is beauty listen to me. There is beauty in waiting and purity. Waiting is not weakness. Whether you're a teenager or a single adult, if you're having sex and you are not married, stop.”
30s
“"You just stress to them how unworthy they are of their salvation and the goodness and kindness of God that they've received. That'll do it. Grace is an incredible teacher. If we could have the praise to go, come on. Folks, I've been there. I've been there. I've done it. I've lived through a bunch of legalism. I know how dangerous. It's just one extra rule."”
25s
“"The kindness of God leads people to repentance. Now look. You know what? You know what the law does? It shows people that they need to repent. The law is useful and good. Amen? Because it shows us that we need to repent. But it doesn't help us repent. The grace of God does that. The kindness of God does that."”
27s
“"Grace teaches us to say no to ungodliness and worldly passions and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age. Do you understand that the grace of God is what teaches you? Christians, listen to me. If you don't see the grace of God evident in your life and that makes you want to live a holier life to honor the one who showed you that grace on the cross, then you don't get it."”
21s
“"The grace of God is sufficient to change people. The grace of God, the love of God, the kindness of God, the goodness of God. That is enough to change. That is enough to change people. We don't have to have extra church rules to change people and keep people in line. But if we're fearful, we will give in to that legalism."”
20s
“"Fearful people tend to become legalists. Fearful people, and this is kind of piggybacking off what we talked about last week. If you are fearful that I can't control this situation, you're going to start putting extra rules because the Bible's not doing it fast enough for you. The Spirit of God is not working on your timetable."”
20s
“"If you will go to him and say, hey, I want that deal that preacher was talking about. Here's my old life, and I believe that you can give me new life. I believe that your blood is sufficient to wash me clean. I want to follow you, Jesus, because I believe you're the only way. You're the only way. I'll follow you. Then come. Today is the day of your salvation."”
