“What I want you to know today is that even though the pressing is deeply challenging, if you feel like you're experiencing a pressing a pressing or an opposing, Not only is it challenging, it's also beautiful because Jesus takes what the enemy intends for evil. He takes what the enemy is trying to use to silence you, to get you to turn your back, to be mad at God, to isolate yourself, and to leave godly community. Jesus takes all those feelings and all those frustrations, and he works them out in a way that produces good. What is that type of producing of good? Well, in oppressing, there's something that comes out.”

“Moses was faithful in God's house as a servant, but Jesus Christ, he was faithful over God's house as a son. Moses interceded for others who opposed him, but Jesus went a step further. He gave his life for his enemies. For you and I, As we seek God's face, seeking nearness with him, know that he has made himself available to you nearer than ever before. Because he came to this earth, lived a perfect life, sacrificed himself on the cross. Rose again defeating sin and death. He has torn that veil and he offers that new life to you and I.”
42s
“It's not fair. This master is unfair as he gets out his generosity more than we could possibly deserve, providing a grace that is overflowing to sinful humans. It's not uncommon to a loving god whose autonomy of grace knows no bounds, whose ways are higher than ours. In the kingdom of heaven. It matters not if you've been a Christian for your entire life, baptized as a Lutheran or if you've just became a Christian hours before your death, The gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ through his death and resurrection is the same.”

“I'm telling you what, the the work of being born is not on the person being born. It's on the previous generation. Right? It's your parents your parents had more of a say in you being born than you did. And here's the thing about being born of God, even though it's a spiritual it's a spiritual birth, God has done the work for you to be born. It's not on you. Your job is just to receive it the same way you kinda received it. In this in this physical life, you you just receive the life that's been given to you. And the same thing with the Lord. He's he's the one that sent Jesus. Jesus did all this before you were even a thought. And so it's already been done.”

“the God of peace, who is full of perfect compassion for you as the infinite God, and also perfectly your perfectly compassionate brother in his humanity who learned obedience through suffering. And so he knows and he's able to help you in all of your hurts and all of your sinful weakness. His compassion is held back by less than a hair trigger. May he with his own hand, in your journey and in all its tension, give you peace at all times in every way.”

“There there's an end to this pressing, which is challenging and beautiful. The end is we win if we're in Christ Jesus. The end is stepping into heaven in eternal life with him that no one can ever take away. And so Jesus instructs this church, do not be do not be afraid and be faithful death. I wanna challenge you this morning to be a faithful follower of Jesus.”

“And at this time, olive oil in bible times was a really important attribute. But olive oil cannot be obtained without a come on, need some help today preaching this sermon. Olive oil can't be produced without a pressing. And wine, which Jesus miraculously made and multiplied, and very common in that day also couldn't be produced without a pressing. So there's something that comes through the pressing that is significant and is used by Jesus. To put it into common terms, it's character development. It's Christ likeness that wouldn't come out to the degree that it did if everything was just perfect and okay.”

“But guys, want us to remember, when we are challenged, either by those around us or even our own internal insecurities, What did we see Moses do? He drew near to God. He leaned on God with a humble dependence, with a meekness, a recognition of his own weakness, but a dependence on God's power. And God drew near to him. It wasn't the approval of those around him that Moses needed. It was only the approval of his father. When facing opposition, seek his face over their validation.”
48s
“But it's more than that. That word humble is closer, but it still doesn't carry the full weight of Moses' dependence on God. There's a humble dependence. There's a recognition of your personal weakness, but it doesn't mean you're short on power to overcome what you're facing. It just means you're dependent on God's power. That type of restraint, that type of power under control is the meekness that it describes Moses as here. And that's what character in the face of opposition looks like, humble dependence on God.”
45s
“But you are forgiven, and your master gladly gives to you. To the overabundant grace is not just who the master is. Now it's more than just who what he does, but it is who he is. God's character is to give and to give. And as is forgive and redeemed, showing mercy and not getting what you deserve and being given far more than you deserve. You get to live out every day of your life in this uncommon generosity by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.”
