But the question is, when we see these things happening around us at an alarming rate, what will we do with the warnings? Do we simply long for the familiar and shut them out, ignoring the warnings? Do we ignore the screams for help? Do we ignore those dying around us going to hell? While we focused on just living my life, just living another day, just trying to make a room for myself.

Sin is the result of a heart that rejects God as good. That's what it is. C .S. Lewis put it best. He said, there are those who say to God, thy will be done, and there are those to whom God says, all right then, have it your way. It's a powerful statement. It's really true. That's the state of things. To reject his ways and his good design is to presume to know better and even be better than Almighty God.

Jesus didn't just teach and feed. He died. He willingly died on the cross to rescue us from our wandering, to pay the penalty for our sin, to rise again, to bring us into a new eternal relationship with God in his kingdom. This is how he becomes our shepherd personally.

Be still. Put on the armor of God. Don't sit down. You want me to do what? Stand. Stand. Focus. Focus. Be still. Concentrate on me. I am your refuge. I am your strength. I am there, your help, in any time in your life that you're in trouble. I am not leaving you. I am right there. You want me to do what? Have faith. Believe. Keep going. But be still and wait on my next orders. Be quiet.
