So yes, when we go to a prayer of confession, there is going to be a tinge of fear. There's going to be a sense of, oh man, I am in over my head and my own sin, my own selfishness, and I need help. Okay, so if my method in that moment of confession is to make an exhaustive list of all my sins in order to make sure every debt that I have incurred is covered, then I am bailing water out of a sinking ship. I am bailing water out of a ship that is already filled with water. Does that make sense?

Again, you you build on the high view of god, and if you have a high view of god, it's gonna produce this high view of scripture. You're gonna see scripture as the final authority. And you know the church is constantly being attacked. We get attacked by false teachers. We get attacked by people that give personal revelations by saying, God said to me. But scripture is the final authority, not you, not me, not anybody else, but the Lord. He is the final authority. His word is the final authority because his word is his word. Right?

Justified is a legal term it means just as if you ain't never done it justified. I know you looking at me it's a legal term there is a phrase called in flagrante delicto it's a legal term that Latin phrase that means a blazing offense it is used in American law to describe a person who's been caught in the very act red-handed and you looking at me with your nose in the air because you've been able to pass the criminal background check at your job and we don't know what you do on the weekend and you look real good and dressed up real good on a Sunday morning but the Bible declares that all of us are guilty that if I were to pull out heaven's surveillance camera and put it up on the big screen and zoom in on the picture it the evidence would say that all of us are guilty but there's something else about the evidence there is some newfound evidence that showed up at the crime scene there was some blood at this crime scene and if you ever test this blood it'll come back positive for grace and mercy and the grace and mercy of God has justified you so now when the father looks from heaven he don't see you in your ratchet raggedy state but he sees you as being justified by the blood of Jesus Christ.

Some of us are so addicted to anxiety. It drives our life fear, the fear of the unknown. I have a list of things that I read over my life in the morning. And one of the things is, I will not be afraid of what I do not know. Because the enemy wants me to be afraid of what, what I do not know. And if I can be afraid of what I do not know, then he can hold me captive from what God knows.
