The mercy that they had experienced was now being fulfilled perfectly in the image, incarnate image of Jesus Christ. This is how we've talked about the great reversal is revealed through Jesus Christ. It is that inflection point when AD became, or BC became AD. It's that inflection point when God's people were waiting with anticipation, and now the fulfillment has arrived. The Son of God came, how? In humility. Stepping down from heaven to take on the bodily form, the frail form, the finite form of mankind. To become one of us. To dwell among us.
