And and and I share that to say that that's often what happens when we try to substitute behavior change for actual transformation. Before we let Jesus do the real work in our souls, that's what behavior modification ultimately does, is it doesn't get at the root problem of our heart. It just dresses up our sinful heart. Right? But Jesus, though, he changes us inwardly before he changes us outwardly. He gives us forgiveness. He gives us grace, and he does the work of renovating our hearts.
