Enduring hardship has a witness for Christ. It proves that Jesus is with us, that he's for us, and that we are his. Enduring hardship produces persevering character of Jesus in us. So therefore, we need to understand that hardship that we endure for the mission of the gospel, it's necessary. It strengthens us as a church. It doesn't cripple us.

But you see all of those people who have welcomed us in, all of those people who invited us here, all of those people, guess what? Not one of them was perfect, but God was still faithful through them. And now, like Timothy, we're entrusted to carry that witness forward.
