When it comes to religion, when it comes to faith, there is no balancing act. You can't just say, I'm just going to sit on the fence. You know, all religions are basically the same. By the way, no, they're not. All religions at their very core have differences that cannot be resolved. You either go to heaven or you're reincarnated. You can't sit on the fence. There's only two options available to us. One option is human achievement. Do your good works. Work your way to heaven. See if you're going to be good enough. In order to be good enough, you have to wait for an opening in the Trinity. It's not going to happen. So, on the one hand, it's human achievement. On the other hand, it's divine accomplishment. What God has done to secure your and my salvation by sending his son to take the penalty for your sin and for my sin. You either pay for your sin or Jesus pays for your sin.
