Control and planning, which, again, we all get tempted with this one. If I'm in charge, I'll be safe. Some of us put our trust in our ability to control, but control is just an illusion. That's all it is. Control is not real. Because when you think you have control over something, in that same moment is where the enemy comes in and he takes you out. Each counterfeit works until it doesn't. Money runs out. Hustle burns you out. People let you down. Success wears off. Pleasure fades. Control slips through your fingers. And in those moments, 10 out of 10 times, you'll come back to the place where you discover that only Jehovah Jireh truly provides.
