We are one of the oldest congregations in Mosaic Mennonite Conference, the first Mennonite conference in the United States. The Swamp Congregation was founded in 1717 by Swiss German Mennonites and we moved into our current building in 1847 when we split from West Swamp when they left the conference to start a new one. In 2019 our two conferences voted to reconcile with one another and after more than 150 years we are again in the same conference. We are committed to Growing Together in Christ by celebrating God’s grace, encouraging growth in Christ, and boldly proclaiming the victory of Christ’s love over sin and death, through the power of God’s Holy Spirit.
