This Sunday is Trinity Sunday. It’s one of those days in the church calendar that can seem more theological than practical. The doctrine of the Trinity can feel abstract: one God in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Many of us may wonder what difference that really makes on an ordinary Tuesday afternoon.
But the Trinity is more than a complicated idea. It's a picture of who God is at the very heart of creation: a God who exists in relationship, in love, in community. From the beginning, our faith tells us that we were created not for isolation, but for connection and community. The Trinity reminds us that love, mutual care, and shared life are not optional parts of the Christian faith; they are central to it.
In a world that often prizes individualism and division, Trinity Sunday invites us to live differently. What may seem at first like an abstract doctrine becomes, in fact, a daily calling: to live rooted in community, shaped by grace.
