And that same spirit doesn't just work for your future salvation, but for your present sanctification. He is freeing you now from the power of sin in your life. He is the one who empowers you to put to death the sinful deeds of the flesh so that you might have life, and he is the one who points us to our gracious and loving father who supplies all our needs and who secures every victory for us, and he is the one who assures us of our union with Christ and all that it means to belong to him.
