When we do this with our theology, with our ideas about God, when we do this, when we're trying to figure out how is it that we ought to live and how is it that I can live my life according to the way God wants me to live my life, it can become a mess. Like putting on pizza. Like standing on a scale and trying to get it to show you the number you want so you can be okay with the life you want to choose. Jesus isn't a scale to manipulate.
