The only thing we can think of is that they were so struck by the presence of God. They watched Paul and Silas singing in the worst scenario. They watched God bring an earthquake. They watched all of their chains just fall off. They watched the doors open. And I think they were so struck by God's movement and activity that they couldn't move, that they were like not even thinking about running away. They wanted to see what God was doing next.
