We have to understand that when we come to Jesus, when we stand before the cross of Christ, when we realize the price he paid, if we are really going to repent of our sins, we have to break up with our sins. We have to break up with our past. We have to have that moment where we cry out, Jesus, save me. And we really want to be saved. You will not be saved if you try to drag a whole bunch of baggage with you into your relationship with Christ. If there's some habits, some attitudes, and some sinful behavior that you know is wrong, you can't cover that up in Christ because the light is always going to reveal it. So if you truly come to Christ, you have to break up with those things.
