Mount Cross Lutheran Church

As we look clearly at the present time, we also see that it is not and cannot be a time of ease for Christians. For Christians who want to be faithful to Jesus, this is a difficult stretch of the marathon. If we want to be faithful to the teachings and priorities of Jesus, it will be uncomfortable and we can expect some conflict. We are being asked as a church, as a congregation, to be clear about advocating for immigrants, advocating for people who are vulnerable, for those who are considered the least in our society. So this is a stretch that is going to require us to give up some of our comfort for the sake of our neighbors.
