But the good news is we don't have to because God himself has has trespassed this gap between us. He has crossed it and he has said, I want a relationship with you. I want intimacy with you. I want you to be made right with me if you just accept it. And after we've done that, we get to continue to get to know who God is and his character. And as we live the way I believe scripture leads us to live, it is not to earn God's favor. It's to live like we have already been made right with God because we have.
