You see, the purpose of God's fire is not to destroy us, but it is to refine us. Zechariah 13 verse 9 makes it clear. He brings us through the fire. He says, I'll bring this one third left into the fire. Why does he say that? He says because I will refine them as the refinement of silver, and I will test them as the testing of gold. They will call on my name, and I will answer them. I will say they are my people, and they will say the Lord is my God. You see, refining removes what doesn't belong so that what is precious remains.
