If you look at the Old Testament, you remember the plagues of Egypt when death was coming for the firstborn of Egypt. And Israel was instructed to put the blood of the sacrifice or the Passover lamb on the doorpost. Somebody say doorpost. Because inside the door, there's protection. Inside the door, there's covering. Inside the door, there is covenant. Inside the door, there is life. And those on the outside of the door did not have the same protection.
