With God’s love, we don’t just get by. We’re in football season, praise God. And we often see these football games that go up until the last minute and the winning team wins by a field goal. Or in basketball season, the last minute free throw shot that wins the game, or the last minute buzzer beater that puts the winning team over the losing team by just one point. It’s a victory, but it’s not conquering. Paul says that we are made more than conquerors. To conquer is to completely annihilate. It’s to mop the floor with your enemy.
