The prophet Habakkuk, he declares that even if everything around him crumbles and falls. Even if everything around him fails. His crop, his livestock, his provision. Which would not only have left his family and his household in a dire situation. But also death. In death. He says he will still rejoice in the Lord. And this shows that joy is not rooted in our circumstances. But in God's unchanging faithfulness. His unchanging character and promises.
