And Jesus says, if you endure, you're gonna receive life, this crown of life as your victory, as your reward. It's poetic. God replaces our physical life with death that was something superior and indestructible version, the eternal life. And both James and John tell us that if we we remain faithful and then we endure through the trials of life, including persecution up to the point of martyrdom, we'll receive the crown of life.
