Spiritual warfare is real and we battle real, personal evil, an enemy in prayer. I love the way that one writer puts it. John Piper says prayer is a wartime walkie talkie, not a domestic intercom. You understand what he means there, right? What you're doing when you pray is you're calling upon God, like someone on the battlefield is calling for air support.
