God's character is not stingy or selfish, it's generous. So think about, like, which best reflects the nature and character of Jesus? Is he a stingy, selfish follower of God, or is it somebody that is generous? It's a pretty easy question, isn't it? Which one better represents him? Because we know what he's like. For God so loved the world that he kept for himself. No, they gave. His love for us is laughing. It's abundant. It's extravagant. It's freely given. It's not limited, not measured. It's exceedingly overflowing. So when we give generously, it reflects his heart.
