Whenever there's a spiritual decline and moral decay in our society, God is saying here it's because spiritual leaders and spiritual people didn't do what they were supposed to do. That's what this passage is about. But this passage is also about he's provided an answer. Someone that has bridged the breach that has stood in the gap and his name is Jesus. And now that we have Jesus inside of us, how many of us know that we can be like Jesus? And now, in practicality, we can now be the agents that stand in the gap and stop the breach and be able to bring restoration to relationships, restoration to very confusing and difficult times. Bring the presence of God in and say, Holy Spirit, do what you will in my life. I am your servant. Help me to be the one that stands in the gap. Help me to be the one that is, that you are looking for. Someone that intercedes between two parties. Someone that is willing to say, you know what, I'm wanting to be part of the reconciliation process.
