The attractively changed lives of believers is the original attractive power of the gospel. But if that's true, then the opposite is also true. We know the opposite is true. Brennan Manning observed about three decades ago that the greatest single cause of atheism in the world today is Christians who acknowledge Jesus with their lips, walk out the door, and deny him by their lifestyle. That is what an unbelieving world simply finds unbelievable.
