Ada BibleJust as in Christ, God forgave you. See, anger revolves around something that is withheld. The gospel revolves around something that's given. My anger revolves because you took something from me. The gospel is anchored in something that is received. And the idea here is forgive them just like Christ forgave you. I don't extend forgiveness because they deserve forgiveness. I extend forgiveness because I have I'm the recipient of forgiveness. It's part of my gospel grounding. At the heart of the gospel, I am more messed up than I can imagine, and I am more loved than I will ever know. That's at the heart of the gospel.
